Welcome to the Longfield and Hartley Scout Group webpage

As part of the Swanley District Scouts, the Longfield and Hartley Scout Group includes a Beaver Colony, a Cub Pack, a Scout Troop, and an Explorer Unit. Each section is run by our dedicated scouting leaders who use their knowledge gained throughout their years of experience, together with their care and enthusiasm.

Our young people come along and make new friends, play games together, work in a team, take on new challenges, and have amazing adventures, whilst learning new skills for life. Our activities include camping, hiking, swimming, abseiling, archery, and canoeing.

Every week the Scouting movement gives almost half a million young people the skills they need for school, college, university, the job interview, the important speech, the tricky challenge and the big dreams: the skills they need for life.

Everyone’s welcome here. All genders, races and backgrounds. Regardless of your child’s physical ability – there’s a Scout adventure out there waiting for them. And we’ll help them find it.

Longfield & Hartley Scouts will be celebrating 100 years in April 2027.
