Position of Badges on Uniform
Scout uniforms can be purchased from the Scout Store, the official trading arm of The Scout Association.
Profits are reinvested back into Scouting, helping to reduce subscriptions.
Details of uniforms and size guides can be found here: shop.scouts.org.uk/uniforms
You can save money by buying on eBay but be very careful as some of the uniforms are from the USA, some are vintage and others aren't even part of the uniform. Avoid uniform items described as being for "Boy Scouts" or "Wolf Cubs". That is the American terminology. In the UK, it is "Beaver Scouts" or "Beavers" and "Scouts". It would make sense to have the Scout Shop site open as well before you start to bid to make sure you are bidding on the right thing.
Shops such as Primark and Asda also have the correct coloured trousers at a lower price - but please make sure you have the correct colours.
Our Group scarves are brown with a yellow border and your child will receive one once invested into the Group and Scout Movement. That simply means they have to know the Law and Promise and take part in a few activities. They will also receive their District & County badges at the same as well as the Group Name Tape.
Badges can only be obtained from the District Badge Secretary by Leaders. Once your children have gained the Badges, you'll need to know where they go.
